Background
Raised amongst a family of builders
and contractors, Tom Manning has
been around construction all his life.
Over the years, Tom has worked for
building contractors, as well as along
side both his father and brother,
where he has gained hands-on
experience in many different aspects
of construction.
Present
Since 2005, MANNING ENGINEERING has been providing
structural engineering services on commercial and residential
projects for Architects, Designers, Consultants, Contractors,
Owners and Developers throughout Northern California and
Nevada.
Tom Manning is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the
State of California and the State of Nevada.
MANNING ENGINEERING also maintains full professional
liability (errors and omissions) insurance, plus general liability
insurance policies.

Growing up in Northern California, Tom attended
Durham High School, Butte College and California
State University, Chico, where he received his
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
While obtaining his degree, Tom worked summers for
the Butte County Public Works Department on a
survey crew and as a county road inspector
overseeing highway construction. Tom also put
himself through school working for himself, as well as
for local building contractors, on new residential
construction and residential remodels.
After graduating from CSU, Chico, Tom became a
Project Engineer and a Senior Associate for a large
architectural and engineering firm in Chico, where he
spent over ten years designing commercial, school
and hospital projects throughout the North Valley.
